A short drive down the coast led us to the Central Coast and the seaside town of Budgewoi. After the hustle & bustle of Stockton van park we liked being here on the shore of the lake. We spent a week here but I didn't get up to much with my injured foot hampening any plans to explore. Even hobbling to the amenities proved to be a major exercise. The one saving grace of the stay was the Budgewoi Bakery and the cream filled donut we discovered there. Simply the tastiest treat I have ever had.
Tomoko was called to Japan to work for a week or two and a choice had to be made. Should I stay in Budgewoi and Tomoko depart from Sydney or should we head back to Ballina so she could leave from Coolangatta. After two months of travel we were still only a days drive from home and so we decided to head home for a couple of weeks to regroup, repack and repair.
Until next time...adios amigos.
